I’m working on a few pieces to submit to a couple of anthologies. One is a fictional love story, while the other is an excerpt from my memoir.
The sweet love story brings together two people who have a second chance at their happily ever after. The heroine is a posing coach for fitness competitions, while the hero is a photographer. Their family members conspire to force them together for a photoshoot in a dreamy location, one where minimal clothing is the norm. Will they admit they never stopped loving each other and make the relationship work, or will they allow pride and past hurts to prevent the healing?
Hopefully this story will work out. I’ll have to keep it pretty tight, since I’m limited to four thousand words.
And for the second submission, I only have twelve hundred words, but that forces me to choose a memory with a lot of impact. The good thing about having an interesting childhood is the availability of moments.
So I’ll keep you posted on that. I want to take care of these two pieces, and then I’ll get back to the longer one.
Until next time,
